Summary

I am a Software Engineer at Google Research. This site will probably never be that up to date as my recent publications, but I'm generally interested in researching practical applications of language understanding: for instance, answering users' questions. Recently, I have spent time thinking about how to train large language models that are not immediately out of date.

I previously completed my Ph.D. at the Pennsylvania State University. My dissertation was on the role of working memory in the planning process of language production. I was advised by David Reitter at Penn State. I remain interested in memory and language and the lessons that cognition can hold for computation.

Always feel free to reach out if you have questions about any of my work or if you have cool ideas but no TPUs :)
